ASAI One Pro .45

Sgt Rod

I need information pertaining to this pistol. I inspected one last weekend and was very impressed by its design, quality and trigger pull. Do you guys know anything good or bad about this piece?
Thanks!

It WAS imported by MRI a while ago. **Looks like that's still the case though.** It's supposed to be a great gun... Sig-like quality. But there was also a sig-like price. Do a search for it at gunweb.com
They did a nice review of it a while ago.

Its still being imported by MRI, and sells for around $549. Magazines are only available from MRI at $39 a piece.

Mylhouse has one, which I have sampled. It has what I feel is the BEST DA/SA trigger of any auto out there. Both smooth, and light. BUT, and that's a big one, neither of us found it to be "accurate". Combat accuracy ranged about 4" at 15yds, and 5-6" at 25, IIRC. I'm sure he'll chime in here to correct me if need be.
I was very impressed with the build quality, and the relative compactness of the 10rd mag. The decocker works naturally, ala 1911 frame-mounted style. If you get the opportunity to shoot it first, do so. Perhaps his is not truly indicative of what to expect accuracy-wise.

All I have done is dry fired a one-pro, it does have one of the if not the best double action pull I ever felt. But I never shot one.

just doing a search on the onePro and decided to add my $.01. Friend just purchased the onePro and I'm next in line. This piece is unbeleivable! The trigger by far is the most noticable difference. I imagine some would be turned off by such a easy trigger pull (3lbs SA/ 8 DA just a guess), but, for those looking for easy follow-up shots, this does it. The trigger does take some time to get used to, if you have bad mechanics or your finger pull action isen't straight, it'll throw you off. Its slide-in-frame design is TIGHT! very smooth action and easy to take down and clean. The controls (2, decocker 220 style and slide release) are flush but, easy to activate. The handle is a little long but, concealability should not be a problem. The finish has a dark green to it, kinda exotic, but, not quite a matte. I've been told in also comes with wood grips, aluminum finish and combination finishes. As for the accuracy, like I said with such a soft trigger, it'll take time to get used to. Had some other guys trying the onePro out, and they were grouping silver dollars at 10yds. It points well, and shot where I pointed. Using four different makes of 185gn. loads; my groups were all within reason for virgin pulls. The onePro gets my thumbs up and a place next to my Sig!

dvc,
The first one that I had was a pos, it was the ultimate jammamatic..literally, every other round. I took it to a gunsmith to do a ramp job..that didn't work, when he looked at it he said that something didn't line up right on the slide to frame..so I got a hold of the company folks and they said to send it in...after many phone calls, they sent me a new one...one jam on the first magazine....after that not one problem.
With the smooth trigger pull, follow up shots are fast and I hit pretty much point of aim at 50 feet and I do okay off hand on my 25 yard targets.
Don't hesitate to call the company...they may be a little frustrated too but they stand by their products.
