What mags are you SLR-106 shooters using to feed your beasts?

A buddy has one, but is short on mags. Luckily he has a pal like me and a birthday coming up.

Will the Bulgarian 5.45x39mm mags work with the 5.56mm Arsenals?

Can't you use Sar 3 mags, Gallil orlite, or Weigar's for cheaper?

No.

Kvar has Bulgarian 5.56 magazines. Circle 10 and everything. Not cheap at $27 each or so.

Thanks for the info guys. Too bad the steel 30rnd mags are out of stock. I'm heading to Minneapolis this weekend for the big MWCA gun show, so I'll look there.

He has 2 mags that work very well, and a few others that do not. He had a Norinco AK in 5.56 before he bought the Arsenal, but those old mags don't properly lock, and don't feed reliably.

What are the marking that I need to look for on the Circle 10 mags?

Should have "5.56x45" an a "10" within some concentric circles.

No luck at the show today. DKmags didn't have any 5.56 mags at the show, but he said he thought he had some in stock. He said to call monday, which I will.

I would prefer steel mags to the polymer. But seeing as the Kvar website lists the steel mags as "out of stock" I may just have to get what I can.

EDIT: OK after checking the Kvar website again, I realized that all Circle 10 mags seem to be polymer, just different colors. When I first checked the site, I thought the "black waffle pattern" were steel.
