Armscor MAK-22?

I was thinking about picking one of these up for a plinker. They have them at advancedtactical in Shotgun news for only $159 (other places I've seen is ~$250). I've read the reviews which seem to go from "great reliable shooter" to "don't buy that pot metal POS!"

I really would like to get a .22 AK look-a-like, if not just to be unique (all my friends have 10/22's and Marlin 60's). Or should I just save and get a GSG AK22 (or maybe even a WASR-22)?
 
For only $159, I'd say buy it and shoot it. If it is truly a POS, then sell it for maybe a $20 loss. When gas prices were higher, it would be around 1 tank of gas.
 
Like any cheap 22. It is going to be fussy about ammo. You will need to keep it clean. It may not be the most accurate gun you own.

So what?

I say buy it if you like it.
