Armscor 9mm JHP?

Not long ago, I got a good deal on some Armscor 9mm 124gr JHP ammo. The bullets look like a cross between the Hornady XTP and the Remington Golden Saber rounds. My initial thought was to use them to test JHP feeding in new guns.

Does anyone have experience with these rounds? Do they work as well as any other JHP made in the last 20 years? And would they make a good carry round?

is it possible that they use the same bullets as magtech?

if that's the case they're good stuff, I packed magtech guardian golds in 45ACP for years until I ended up with a lot of gold dots and hydrashoks gifted to me.

Armscor makes good, full power ammo. It is made here in the U.S aswell. There is nothing wrong with it and assuming it was 124gr or higher, and fed in my gun, i would definetely use them for defense

I shoot a lot of Armscor ammo in 223, 9mm and 45. Never had a single issue with it. I have put about 500 rounds of the 124 hp through my PPQ and VP9 with no issues. Make sure any ammo you buy from Armscor says USA on the front of the box if you want "The good stuff."

the magtecs are sharp at the nose. I personally have had absolutely terrible experience with armscor 22lr ammo, lots of failures to fire, very inconsistent and very dirty. granted this is older stuff so quality control may have changed but it's enough that if the two load the same bullets, then I would prefer the magtech brand. I've never had a problem with magtec and I shoot it in several calibers, I just ordered 2k rounds of 9mm for plinking.

also bear in mind that not all armscor is made in the USA, some is made in the Philippines. magtech is brazilian.
