It was manufactured by Arms Corporation of the Philippines. Armscor Precision has a picture of the special edition on their website, but no other information about that particular model.

OK. The follwing is a bit of rumour, conjecture and facts. Colt at one point, in between owners was interested in having a inexpensive Ruger Vaquero clone produced. They needed cheap labour, good steel and it was to be made foreign and sold as a Colt. Colt worked out some plans and there were trips back and forth. A joint venture was proposed and some formal deal was made between Armscor and Colt. The result? Some say the Colt Cowboy. The folks at Armscor needed a new revolver in 38 Special for security and police contract bids. This 38 Special was the result. It has a look of the Trooper MKV with a Python barrel. All reports are positive. The fact that they are showing up in the US isn't surprising to me. They make good quality 1911s, this and one other revolver line. I hope we see more of these Armscors. They are a little less finished than Colts though. All in all, a good deal.

This pistol shoots good, and for 150.00 I do not think my wife is unhappy.
She got it to carry out in the desert, we prospect a lot and run across rattlers often......5 so far this year.
