This is all hypothetical, I have no real intention of making any of these.
I remember reading somewhere that solid copper and/or bronze bullets in pistol calibers WILL cut through vests.
I also remember that they are now illegal to own or make.
Does this "Law" apply to only solid metal bullets?
Or could you make a saboted "dart" or use .223 SS109 in a plastic sabot? The reason I ask it because I've seen sabots for .30 at gun shows and it wouldn't take much to enlarge the sabot by .047-.049. Can any of you guys picture what kind of velocities you could get out of a .357 magmum case? DAMN, probably get something like 3,000fps... 9mm would probably get you 2-2500fps... And the sabot would allow you to use harder, tougher metals w/out a copper jacket.
Just keep in mind, cops aren't the only ones wearing vests these days...(LA robbery ring a bell?)
