Armalite ar-7 authorities/experts

If it's the 22 that stores in the buttstock, I had one. Didn't work. Didn't matter what ammo or mags I used.

Last week one of the gun range/store workers took one out for a test drive. I heard the thing do a triple tap, back inside it went.

It's weird anyway. When firing sounds like a plastic drum getting hit by a preschooler.

I've had one of the originals since the 1960s and, other than the rear aperture sight coming loose once, it's functioned without a hiccup for me.

He specifically said the Armalite, the original one.
Those work pretty good.
The next maker, Charter, (not to be confused with the current company), back in the late seventies and eighties, weren't the same.
Henry now makes them.

I currently have 2 of them, and have had two others.
The only thing I have ever had a problem with is caused by the
PLASTIC recoil spring guide. It eventually weakens and
allows the two springs to stand out of alignment with their
respective holes. As the problem worsens, at first it's
high velocity ammo only, and then nothing ejects all the way!
I have cobbled together steel replacements, and it has worked
fine every time!
