Armalite AR 5 (MA-1) survival rifle

Does anybody know whether there is a remake / reissue of the Armalite AR5 survival rifle?

I'm talking about the bolt-action predecessor of the AR7, not the (semiauto) AR7 itself which is available in a reissue by Henry Arms.

I've been looking for an m-6(I think) for years. My dad had one he got when he was in the Navy. It vanished mysteriously when I was a kid. Hornet over 410 was pretty neat. In fact it's the reason I bought my Savage C24 .22 over 20ga. They're a great camping, truck, backpacking gun.

There were about a half a dozen survival rifle is all based on the same idea. All of them are pretty need my opinion.

I have an F-I "Bronco" single shot 22, they also offered a single shot 410.
I believe these were considered survival guns.
They have a skeletonized stock and the gun can be taken apart into two pieces.
Retail price on the 22 was $14.95 in 1970.

I know what the AR5 is, as I am a long time owner and fan of the AR7, and a fan of the 22 Hornet...
I have always wanted one.

The Ruta Locura setup is not a gun but built on a popular young child's single shot bolt-action AND cock it gun like the early prior century's "boy's rifles."

In fact, I had to wait months for my .22 Mag action (and Ruta Locura doesn't seem to produce a .22 Mag chambered barrel anymore). I tried to get an ugly kid's gun on sale but no luck, so, I bought the small adults walnut stocked Crickett -- in for a penny in for a pound!

Some people DO by the small Crickett .22 with synthetic stocks as small survival and even hiking plinking rifles. They are only 30" and weigh just 2-1/2 lbs. -- even can be had with stainless steel barrels! Scope mount is optional. I recommned...

...the Simmons .22 Mag! LOL
