Armalite - any good?

I just commited to a PreB Colt lower with a PreB Armalite upper.
I have only owned Colt before.
Will I be disappointed with the Armalite upper?

see ar-15.com armalite made the rifle before colt and they still make a good one you will not be dissapointed ... imho., pat
 
Pat,

The modern Armalite is not the original Armalite. It is Eagle Arms, and they purchased rights to the Armalite name.

That said, I have an Armalite M15A4 carbine that is an excellent rifle. Fit and finish are great, it shoots well, and has had zero problems.
 
TaxPhd: Are you saying you have had no problems with the Armalite or you have had problems zeroing it? :D :D

...had to throw that in. I never heard of anyone having functioning problems with the new Armalites.

Several of the shooters on the USAR combat rifle team bought AR's from Eagle and several more from Armalite. It appears to me that they are quite satisfactory.

I know that I am very well pleased with my Armalite, now starting its 3d high power rifle season, no problems, great accuracy and sound reliability.

Mark Westrom biulds a good gun.

As you might have guessed, my rifle has no problems of any kind - zeroing or otherwise. It's Great!

An aside - does the name "Biscuit Boy" mean anything to you? (If it does, you'll understand immediately, if not it is by no means disparaging. It's just a nickname for someone that I met at a Glock match).
