Arizona and the CCW

My father-in-law is visiting here in the great state of Kalifornia from the state of Washington; he of course has a CCW. Anyway, we are going to Phoenix today and I'm not sure if AZ honors other states CCWs'.

The State of Arizona recognizes permits to carry concealed from the following states:

Arkansas
Kentucky
Texas
Utah
So says the law.
But remember, all gun laws are ILLEGAL

If he'd like, He can carry openly as well!

Hkg3,

That is correct. Open carry is allowed to anyone who is not a felon (of course posession by a felon is illegal anyway) and 21 years of age (gotta check on the minimum age).

When carrying in your car keep in in a holster even if it is not on your person.

If you are pulled over, politly inform the officer that you are armed. I hand both my DL and my CCL to the officer when I have been pulled over.

If your dad is from one of the states listed above, it would be reasonable for him to do the same.

I have my CCL, but carry openly. It's my statement (small as it is) that this is my right, and I will excercise it.

John/az2,

Thanks for the info. I feel like I get a little brain washed living under Nazi rule over in Kali, and I tend to be a little hesitant to do anything less than perfectly legal (by Kalifornia's rules) even though it is perfectly constitutional.
