Since there is so much excitement about moving to AZ I will share some info with you . Kingman is a growing town . I own a lot east of town in a nice sub-division called Valle Vista . The place has building restrictions aimed at keeping the neighborhood up but not at the expense of anyones freedom . I am not " hawking " here but if there is any interest in this area I will attempt to help all I can . There are houses for sale all over between $60,000 and $115,000 . You can spend more if you want . The builder I know in Valle Vista has houses from $60,000 all the way to whatever . Lots start at about $4,000 to about $7,000 . There are jobs to be had in a big industrial park nearby and some other places around . Laughlin is 45 miles away . Vegas and Pheonix are very accessable but not to commute . Weather is nice . In summer there are a couple of months of 115 degrees and in winter a " dusting " of snow can happen . Valle Vista itself is 175 miles from the Grand Canyon . There is skiing in Williams 60 miles south of the Canyon . That would be 115 miles from Valle Vista . You can ride a horse , carry a gun , prospect whatever .Also SASS has an affiliated club there . Think about it .

Tom, I was just out there in the fall. I was looking at a parcel of land at Stagecoach Trails. Have you heard anything about them?
I plan to retire out there and was looking. The wife wasn't happy with the land at Stagecoach because it was in the middle of the desert. I was considering as an investment though. They seemed on the very up and up.We spent about 3 weeks out there and I'm in love. But I seemed to like the Prescott area a little better. Several friends of mine retired out there one in the
Tuscon area and the other around Flagstaff.
I want to be where every day is a nice day

Happy Shooting :)

Consider Payson and its surrounding communities as well. Personally, I think it is a bit prettier than Prescott. And, the desert takes a bit of getting used to, but it is truly a fantastic place, with all kinds of interesting plants, animals and scenary.

There's nothing like watching a dust storm blow in, with a wall of dust 1,000 feet high. Then followed by a brilliant thunderstorm, and the smell of the rain on creosote bushes. I'm not kidding - the desert is very special and spectacular in many ways. Sadly, many people come here and just want to turn it into what they remember from the midwest.

Arizona is a bit of paradise. I didn't realize years ago that it would also be a relative oasis of political freedom in the otherwise declining liberty of America.

I just moved from gang infested South Scottsdale to the little town of Buckeye. It is a nice quiet farming community west of Phoenix. I still carry, but there are far less gangbangers here to deal with. :)

Just as there is no such thing as too much fun,
there is no such thing as owning just one gun!!!

Now, go do the right thing, and buy that Walther!!
