Are you doing your part?

For you people that are living in a one handgun per month state, how are you coming along with your quota? Fortunately, I live in the gun friendly state of PA. So far this year, if my girlfriend knew how many guns I bought, I'd be up sh!t creek.

I'm in SC with this little rule and I must say that it's bothersome. I've had to avoid shopping around in fear that I would find a fantastic deal and not be able to act upon it. Curios and Relics, I believe, are exempt from this rule, so I may be taking advantage of this loophole, if it is indeed true.

Son,

Virginia law limits an individual to one handgun purchase a month. I don't like it. However, it has not presented a practical problem because, with top quality weapons generally costing around $600, one per month is about all I can afford.

Regards.

RWK has a good point about affordability, but it's the principle of the thing. I'm in NY state, we don't have this rule but we have other problems! What about one gun every six months or one gun a year? That's how they start taking away our freedoms.

I got way ahead of myself this year. I had just bought a gun while I was still waiting out the thirty days from my last purchase. (I paid the dealer for the gun and he waited out the thirty days to do the paperwork.)

While I'm waiting, _&_ announces their deal with the Feds. I've wanted a model 649 for a long time, since I saw one that belongs to my cousin, but now I only want one that's already been sitting on the shelf. So I go buy that too, and tell the dealer he start do the paperwork for like six weeks.

Anyway, I've got all caught up now. I still need to pick out guns for August through December. One will be a .22 for my daughter, and one will be a 1911. Knock on wood.

Regards,

:)...I'm already three guns ahead; I get to pick one up tomorrow, the rest will be in 40 and 80 days, respectfully (They tack the 10 day wait period ON TOP of the 30 days here in Kali). Damn money could be earning interest, but I know it would just go to ammo & targets :D
Well at least I get to shoot them at the range without the rental fee...
