Fiocchi .32 auto fmj 73gn@980fps = 155 ftlbs
Winchester .32 auto fmj 71gn@905 = 129 flbs
Fiocchi .32auto hp 60gn@1200 = 205 ftlbs
Silvertip .32 auto hp 60gn@970 = 125 ftlbs

I new those little suckers were hot but this is silly. has anyone confermed these numbers?

I haven't confirmed any of the above - but based on my years of handloading I wouldn't dis-believe them.

The .32 Auto is a fairly strong case and in a strong gun the velocities cited aren't unreasonable. (With the right powder and barrel length.)

I'll admit that the 60 grainer at 1,200 fps is pushing my credulity if we're talking 3 inch (or so) barrels.

Keep in mind that light bullets at high velocities are really short range phenomenah (sp?). The lighter the slug, the faster the velocity loss.

I have to agree with JimFox, I have grave doubts about 200+ FP with a .32ACP out of a short barreled gun. I think 130-140 FP is about all you can expect. I may have to pick up some of those 60gr HP's and run them past my chrony to see what they really clock in at. I'll be astonished if they exceed 1000 FPS.
