I was just wondering if these two guns are legal in california and if not why? I can not seem to find them anywhere.
Hi-Point Carbine 9mm or 40
Baretta Storm Carbine 9mm or 40

I noticed the Ruger PC9 and Walter 22pos is legal so these should be too right? Im pretty clueless about what sets those Carbines apart from each other.
:D
Thanks for any info

I know that the Beretta CX series is illegal, since it's a semi-auto with what amounts to a pistol grip.

Don't know about the hi-point, but that's the determining factor.

It sucks, watching the rest of the country yuk it up over the AWB sunset while we can't even buy an AR.

im pretty sure its a negative on both. your options are pretty much ruger pc's & mini's, kel tec su16, m14, sks, m1 garand. or you can build up an ar on a fab10 receiver.

I was just reading about the SU 16 last night, though I've never even seen one in the flesh. Here's what I know:

Remmy .223
Takes AR-style mags, and holds two in the buttstock
Folds up
Sight rail on top
feels like a toy, and isn't as rugged as an AR (Ha!) but is supposedly quite comfortable to shoot and surprisingly accurate
Useless in Hand to Hand Combat
Sights are crude but effective. Best used with some sort of quick acquisition sight mounted on top.
