Are there two versions of the "Gen2" LCP?

Are there two versions of the Gen2 LCP?

I'm not talking about the new LCP II.

Iow, is there a Gen2a LCP and a Gen2b LCP?

By Gen2b LCP, I'm asking about the post-PriceDrop LCP, the one that retails for about $200 instead of $300.

I remember reading a while back about how Ruger had a huge price drop on the LCP because they found a less expensive way to make it. Now that there's a new LCP II, I'm wondering if there's a physical difference between the newer $200 Gen2 LCP's and the older $300 Gen2 LCP's.

Thanks.

No.

There are the metal triggers (Custom, Gold Shimmer) that rolled out in gen2, but those have zero difference in trigger pull of any other gen2.

Dale, I remember that while searching before starting this thread. Here are the variations listed there:

"1. Original LCP 2008-2012
2. Next LCP 2013-2015--bigger sights, different trigger, no dash in serial number.
3. 'Custom' LCP--Big Red Trigger (BRT), even bigger sights.
4. LCP II--2016 to ???. Hold open after last shot fired. Safety lever built into trigger is easiest way to visually identify the LCP II. (Besides of course the big 'LCP II' printed on the side of the slide.)"

And I'm thinking there might be a reason (that Ruger isn't telling us) the #2 type guns went from $300 to $200. That's a huge price drop, which is why I was asking about a 2a and a 2b. Something has to be different, unless they wanted to get rid of them fast to make room for the unannounced (at that time) LCP II.

I think that was he general consensus, plus the custom retailed for not much more than $300. There wouldn't have been any point to keeping the LCP at a $300 price point.

Heck I bought my custom at Sportsman's Warehouse for $230. It's funny though the custom wasn't out all that long and now they are out of production.
