Are there any manufacturers of new quality side-by-side double barrels out there?

And I don't want no $2000 shotgun either.
I've seen the russian built doubles, nasty. I've looked at the high priced gunshow junk too.
$500 to $1000 is not too much to spend for quality. I can't justify $2000 to shoot rabbets, dove, ducks and turkey's a few times a year. I'm just one of those double barrel kind of guys, you know.
Thanks and have a Merry Christmas.

The only quality manufacturer that I know of is Ruger. But if you want one that bad, you might change your mind about spending $2000.

Only one I've heard about, Sauer, other than a used gun or one of those expensive Italian jobs, is the 411 Stevens that is being built for Savage Arms, to their specifications, by a Russian company (Baikal, I think). Supposedly, it is a well made gun. Here's a link to an article I read concerning it.

The Rusky Stevens I saw did not look a whole lot better than the Baikal it is based on. Strong like Russian tractor and Russian woman.

Marlin is bringing in an L.C. Smith clone from Italy, there are a couple on Gunsamerica for $1398.

I'd go with the used Browning any day, it's finished like a real gun. ;)

But, I've read good reports about Huglu shotguns...good for the money anyway. I don't think you can buy a "quality" sxs for $1,000 new to be honest. Try SKB also.
