Are the Ruger Mk-III and the Ruger 22/45 Mk-III the same internally

I've always found it confusing that Ruger Calls one pistol a Mk-III,,,
And another one of their pistols the 22/45 Mk-III.

I know the frames are different,,,
I know the mags and grip angle are different,,,
But what about the barrel, chamber, bolt, and trigger?

Are they the same internally?

One way to check is to download the owners' manuals for both from Ruger and compare the parts numbers for both from the parts view pages.

Same mags, different base plate... Upper frame is pretty much the same, but they have different types, but the back half and how they work is pretty much the same.

Internal parts are pretty much the same.

They basically just designed the lower half to look different and changed the parts as required to make it work.

Yes, internally the same. The lower frame is outwardly different, and the magazine baseplate is different.
The 22/45 is a different lower to more closely resemble the feel of a 1911. Iirc, it even accepts 1911 grip panels.
Other than that, its a mkIII.

Dang! That's pretty clever! Ruger has a great web sight and that stuff is easy to find there-if you were smart enough to think of doing it.
