ooo oooo ooo! i know! we could ask the secret government agents if they are secret government agents. they cant lie to us, or it'd be entrapment. i know cause thats what they have to do during prostitution stings.

:p :D

or better yet, TFL should put a disclaimer screen that says 'by clicking the next link you agree that you are NOT a member of law enforcement here to collect information about responsible gunowners in an attempt to disarm them'.
that way, they'd have to stop reading our posts, if they are up to no good.

I'm sure I was watched for a short period of time due to a friend who was being charged with a few federal crimes (involving hacking and such - and since been convicted to 15 months in Federal prison).

Of course I'm only assuming so. I don't know for sure. Since I was in communication with him from time to time... I may have received at least a cursory once-over by the feds. I don't know for sure.

It did not interfere with any firearm purchases. I had wondered if it might - but it didn't.

I'm sure my life bored them to death. I voted "no" because I can't say for sure.

Wait... someone's knocking at the door... be right back...

S.O.S.! They're here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where's my black rifle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now Trip...would you have considered it an abuse of your constitutional freedoms to be free of interference by the Jack Booted Thugs of law enforcement who seek only to crush true patriots beneath their hobnailed boots if they would have come and asked you a few questions about your realtionship with your criminal bud?

Or does the fact that they didnt indicate to you that they are not interested in pursiuing that which is not serious?

Due to the fact that they were investigating a criminal matter... and I am in contact with the suspected (at the time) criminal - it makes perfect sense that they would "check me out."

No rights were squashed IMO - but I'm no lawyer. I could have been severely rights-raped and not even known it!

It is not unreasonable to investigate a suspected criminal, or his/her aquaintances, friends, family, or business associates - provided the necessary legal precautions are in place (i.e. warrants if necessary...etc).

Do I like the thought of being "watched?" No. But in this case there was a necessity - and who's to say I really was "watched?"

I was hoping I could pull one of those deals you see in the movies. Where the guy being watched (me), sees the van parked two blocks up. Sneak up on them and offer them some coffee - make them feel like jack asses! :D

Never saw a van.

A suspicious 12 yr old on a skateboard... but no van.

PS - I just ordered cheese enchiladas... and found out after paying... they're filled with spinach! YUK! :barf:

Bummer, I thouhgt we could liven up this thread with real violations rather than imaginary ones:D

In the past 10 years I have been contacted by probably between 30 and 40 Federal agents.

I have a lot of friends who routinely come up for security clearances.

Not me, personally.

But my brother's friend's uncle's dad's pet-groomer's hair-stylist's twice-removed cousin was once abducted by the gov't in their big black helicopters for a joint experiment between the gov't and alien breeders to make a race of human-aliens resistant to pain and having twice the strength of the Incredible Hulk.

You should all know that the zombies have infiltrated the Feds. So you ARE being watched, whether you want to admit it or not. They are just biding their time for the zombie uprising....

And, by the way, Alito has either written and/or ruled that you have no constitutional rights. If confirmed, he will rule that the Feds can search you, your papers, and/or your house without a warrant based on a mere hunch. You can find the memos, applications, and cases on Google.

:D :D :D

there's a black helicopter that follows me everywhere I go, but I'm sure it's just a coincidence......................

Watching? No. However, with the paper trail I've laid since I was 18 with military security clearances, being a certified police officer, firearms instructor, and the holder of a C&R FFL, I'm pretty certain someone at least has an idea of who I am. If not, they can find out pretty fast.
