How often is find revolvers Dan Wesson out of time? Do they go out of time easily?.

A fiend of mine bought one to another person recently and it was out of time (He didn´t check it carefully before buy it).

And i have seen other two are of time in the past.

Is it common?

Could he reair easily buying a new hand and installing it?

Thanks in advance for your answers.
(And forgive my bad English)

W/Dans - when & where it was made are pretty important when asking about QC issues &/or durability.

I’ve had a bunch of DW’s and the only timing issue I had was remedied by a thorough internal cleaning

I´m sorry, but I don´t understand. How a internal cleaning could remedied a out of time revolver?????

I've heard of some with timing issues, but I've owned over a dozen 15-2's and 715's and never had a problem with it. Haven't seen one with it either, and I've seen a lot of heavily shot ones over the years. If your friend is decent with tools, he can fit a new hand and solve the problem.
