Are the .308 converted M1916 Spanish Mausers any good?

I've always heard bad things about caliber conversions (especially the French Mas),but am wondering about the Spanish M1916 conversion.Anybody have info on reliability or problems? Thanx:)

I had one awhile back. Decent rifle for the price and was fairly accurate. The only problem I had with it was often after you fired a round. you would pull the bolt back and the case would be stuck and you'd have to work the bolt a second time to extract the spent casing. Otherwise it wasn't a bad rifle.. I even took it hunting more than once. ;)

I checked the above link, and from what i can tell the rifle i'm seeing for sale has completely different specs and appearance.Anybody else have input on these?

It doesn't matter the appearance or specs, the spanish mauser modelo 1916 has a '95 "small ring" action, not strong enough for full power 308 loads.

My Brother brought one and is thinking about throwing it away. The barrels are sleeved, which some people don't mind. The head space is okay. The action is pitted. He did hit the berm behind the target when he tried to sight it in. He doesn't recommend them.
