Are Sako rifles made in Japan now?

Are Sako rifles made in Japan now? The company itself is still based in finland but is manufacturing done in the orient?

No, they are still made in Riihimäki although Beretta owns the company. Where did you get the idea of Japan ?

I didn't know. It was one of the rumors you hear down on the range and nobody seems to know where it came from.

Made in Finland. Good stuff those Sakos.

Some confusion may come from the metals manufacturer Seiki of Japan as they have made rifle parts for other firearm companies. Just a guess though.
