**Are handguns going to be banned in Kalifornia???

Assualt rifles are banned in Kalifornia. I heard that some handguns might be banned in Kalifornia in 2001. Is this true? Which models are going to be banned?

What is the likelyhood that all firearms are going to be band in the God forsaken land of Kalifornia?

Should I buy a H&K 9mm now or is it a waste of time because the fcking government will take it?
 
I think that the spirit of the law is to prohibit sat. night special style el cheapo guns. Although some feel that the criteria for the gun to be legal will cause the Glocks to not be accepted, I just can't see the law as saying that the guns LE uses are "unsafe."

Some of the criteria include an external safety and the passing of a drop test. You should be absoultely fine with the HK. GET IT!
 
I talked to my gun shop owning neighbor. He told me he received a list of "approved" pistols from DOJ and it had so far, Rugers and Berettas. He was also informed that the only way he could sell a non-approved pistol taken in trade was to run it through his books as a consignment sale.
 
I can see guns that aren't considered "safe" still being used by the police. It's happening now in MA. They have a melting point test and Glocks fail but the cops still use them. The AG up there started breaking balls and saying guns fall under the consumer laws so they started banning some sales. It's getting scary around here so keep up the fight and join the NRA!
 
It is very easy for them to ban them for us and not for LE. They have already put a LE exemption in the law. Safe enough for the police to have, but not for us. Buy your Glock in CA while you still can.
 
It saddens me to read some of your posts and realize you people still don't get it. THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO OWN ANY GUNS AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's where it is all headed. Wake up!
