Are guns getting harder to ship to LGS?

Earlier in the week I ordered a new Ruger Single Six from a LGS who was shipping it in from a distributor who had it in stock. It was supposed to arrive a few days ago. I called today to make sure it was in before I picked it up and they said something about how they aren't getting in any shipments of guns the past few days or so due to all the gun control talk. The lady I talked to said it could come in Monday, and that she will going to call the LGS owner and try to track my order and get back to me. Am I getting fed BS or is this something that is happening?

Edit: I live in Florida, didn't think ordering a single six would be any problem regardless of the gun control talk.

It probably has nuttin to do with gun control talk, but all about the sharp increase in demand for all guns making boxing and shipping guns from the warehouse fall behind. Being close to the holiday season with all the gift shipping and folks taking time off probably contributes also.

Yeah that makes more sense. Didnt think about the time and effort to box and ship the insane amount of orders that are coming through these warehouses. You would think that would have been something they could of predicted when I ordered. When they told me they could get the gun in two days, I guess i was a bit skeptical in the back of my mind.

Also, guns are selling so fast that many times what suppliers show they have in stock is not there anymore by the time the LGS's order is processed.

The whole supply chain is a mess from top to bottom. We have the single biggest sales surge in history, and it happened without warning. Furthermore, it happened right before Christmas, when many folks in the industry had left for vacation.
