Are factory Sig 20rd 226 mags worth $125?

I found a store that has a few of these and they are asking $125. Are they worth this price? I know they are pretty rare.

I know they are asking way to much for their 15rds at $85.

One born every minute...

No.. not... never...

I once saw a friend of mine spend 125.00 $$ on a hi-cap for his glock 21...:(

But to each his or her own... if YOU think its worth it......

12-34hom.

As my old economics teacher used to say, something is worth what people are willing to pay for it. I wouldn't pay that much for any hicap but that's me. If you think it's worth it, buy it.

Any magazine in the triple digits isn't worth it.

For that matter, any magazine in the high double digits aren't either.

Man you are paying WAY to much !

Ive been using Promag mags on my Sigs for years and have yet to have one that wasnt reliable.

Factory mag, SIG P226 15 Rounds ...59.99
Promag mag SIG P226 15 Rounds...13.99
Promag mag SIG P226 30 Rounds...19.99

BTW Promag is OEM for several big names.

Factory 20-round P226 mags are probably worth $125--not intrinsically, of course, but rather in today's market, given the status associated with their having been made by SIG. If my income were ten times what it is, and if I wanted these mags badly enough, I'd buy a bunch of them just for the satisfaction of owning them. However, in realistic terms, there's no way I'd pay $125 for any mag.

Watchman:
I bought 6- new in wrap Promags and none worked worth a damn in two brand new Sig 226's-9mm. The only mag other than Sig mags that I've found to work are MegGar (sp?). Also found the same to be true in the Sig 220 45 cal.

Very good used factory Sig mags in high cap can be found in Shotgun news for $49.

Thanks guys! I was really asking if anyone knows if this is the going rate for these. I was thinking of buying a few for investment purposes.

Watchman, I have a couple of promag hi-caps for my 226 and so far they've worked fine in the last 6 or 7 trips to the range. However, would I trust my life to them, probably not. The quality of the mag is just not there. What I am curious about is which big name manufactures does promag build for?

I want to start a list of guns that I won't be buying in the future. Especially if Promags, either OEM or aftermarket, is the only mag you can get for them.

Please tell me you were thinking of Mec-Gar?

If the Sig 20 rnders are Sig Factory or MecGar they're probably worth the $125. Considering some dealers are trying to justify $99 for 15 rnd factory new Sigs mags. Twenty rounders probably have some value in tactical situations, but I'm not sure bigger is always better when the mag extends past the grip handle.
