Are either VFW or American Legion Pro Gun?

I am eligible to join either and both have chapters near me.

Don't want to join an anti-gun group, or one that sends money to another anti group (like AARP).

Is one more pro gun than the other?

Any reason to join one over the other? Are there any real differences in the end?
 
Been a Legion member and just renewed. I can't remember anything specifically off the top of my head, but the Legion has always seemed pro-gun.
 
Depends on the particular post. Both are pro gun but when I offered to help start up and coach the post sponsored boy scouts rifle team I was shot down in a hurry. The big cheese wasn't having anything to do with kids and guns.
