Yes... I'm aware that you can fire 223 in a 5.56, but it's listed on Colts Mfg's site that they're 223. On Colt's match target line, it says 5.56, but the price list says 223. Will Colt's ARs like the LE6920 fire 5.56 reliably?
depends on the specific chamber. alot of companies offer both.
you can shoot .223 out of a 5.56mm NATO chambered barrel, but shooting 5.56 out of a .223 isn't advisable because of the higher pressures in the 5.56. Eventually you will blow up your chamber.
GO WITH THE BARREL MARKINGS not the receiver markings
Most AR rifles will say they are .223/5.56, but you need to verify for sure if you want to shoot 5.56 ammo. If the barrel is stamped for 556NATO then your good either way.
