Are Beretta92 and Taurus 15-rd mags the same?

Can I use a Taurus mag (15-rd Pachmayr stainless) in a Beretta 92 or would that require a different hole for the mag catch?

Actually, and I may be wrong, one can be used in the other if you are willing to cut out where the mag catches. The only difference between the two are the location of the cut outs. But in the long run you are probably better off with a magazine made for your gun and not an altered version made for another gun.

Yes you can modify a Taurus to work in a Beretta. I did it when I bought my 92F about 11 years ago. I did cut out the hole in the Taurus mag and it works all the time. If I had a source for Beretta mags, I wouldnt recommend doing it. The only problem I ran into was that I left a small burr in the side of the mag when I was cutting it and it put a nice scratch (gouge) in the aluminum when I inserted it.

If you plug a Taurus mag into a Beretta handgun,it will cause a matter/antimatter reaction that will destroy the universe...
