Are all lasers under $100 junk?

I am beginning to think so. My latest failure is an Aimshot 6300b that's supposed to be an upgrade from their 6100B. 'Fired 3 rounds of 12 gauge slugs with my Rem 870 Police and the Aimshot died. No way IMHO should these things be mounted on anything more powerful than a .22 yet the manufacturer's tell you they can be used on just about anything. Wrong. I have wasted enough money on these things. Guess the next step is to bite the $ bullet (no pun intended) and get a Lasermax LMS1202.
 
How are you mounting it? My son has a M6 on a 870 it seems to stand up allright. If you are using a pistol grip instead of a shoulder stock I am not sure anything will stand up.
