I was at the local gun shop and they have a special on bushmaster AR15's right now. They cost 670 out the door. that included tax shipping everything. I am jsut wondering if this is a good price or not. Thanks for responding.

That's not bad. You can build a whole 20" HBAR for just about $500 if you wanted to.

For a gun built by the manufacturer, it's a good price. Sure you can assemble your own for less ducats, but then you're up against getting good parts (caveat emptor), tools (you'll need a few - especially for assembling the barrel onto the upper receiver) and know how (which is easy to acquire). Suggest you move on it.

I'd second that "make sure that it's a real 16" barrel." If it's one of those awful Y2K Special Editions, with the 11.5" barrel and longass compensator, A-1 upper, I wouldn't pay $500 for it. On the other hand, if it's a standard, 16" barrel Bushy Shorty, then that's the best deal I've seen in some time.
