AR15 freefloat handguard replacement

I have a RRA varmiter with the standard tubular freefloat handguard. I want to replace it with a quad rail style. How exactly do I remove this style of handguard/gasblock?

For varminters, there are 2 styles of gas block. One is a clamp-on style with 2 bolts that can be loosened and the gas block will slide off the barrel.

The other style has a set screw on the bottom and may be locktited in place. To break down the locktite, use a clothes iron set on high and place it on the gas block. When it gets to 350 degrees, the locktite will break down. The set screw(s) can be removed and gas block will slide off with gentle encouragement.

Tube handguards are removed with a strap wrench positioned near the receiver. Just be sure you have taken off the gas block and gas tube before trying to remove the handguard. The barrel nut may need a barrel nut wrench, the kind with the prongs that fit into the gas tube holes.
