Has anyone had the opportunity to use a buttstock counterweight to offset the weight relationship between the front and rear of the ar-15.I have recently installed a new set of quad rails and an eotech and the front is really heavy while the back is light.
Thanks in advance

I tried one once in my HBAR A2. Waaaay too heavy for me. I use that rifle to target shoot prone, sitting, standing, etc, but it was just too heavy to hold for very long. It wore me out fast and I found myself taking quicker shots just so I didn't have to keep holding it steady. In other words, my groups got worst.

When I realized it was to heavy, I cut it in half and tried it again but still didn't like it. I found it much nicer to have a heavy front rifle than a very heavy rifle.
