AR tactical sling

Make one yourself. I built a 3-point tactical style sling that retails for about $40-50 and it only cost me about $7 and 30 minutes of my time. You can buy a kit from strapworks.com that comes with all necessary parts and instructions if you want to make it especially easy. One thing that I love about these forums, it's pretty cool to be in a community where people share interests and pass info on to one another. It does indeed make shooting sports that much more enjoyable

I used to carry my M16A2 with a British SA80 sling. I absolutely loved it. Had to rig it a little strange. Used a keyring on 550 cord tied around the buttstock (through the regular sling loop to hold it). Front goes through the sight post. Comfortable and easy to carry, swings up for action or back out of the way. IMO far superior to the tactical slings they issue these days.

I have a Vicking Tactical on my Bushy. I got it for eeze of getting on target faster when snowmachining and skiing. The standard way to carry a rifle on a snowmachine, around here, is bungee corded to the snowmachine. The standard sling doesn't allow the rifle to lay flat on my back or front.
