AR shotgun combo gun?

A few years ago someone was marketing a mounting set up to mount a shotgun under the barrel of an AR (and several other guns) where you would use the magazine as the firing grip much like with the M-203 grenade launcher. Does anyone know where those can be found now-a-days?

Jonathan Arthur Ciener in Coco Beach, Fl also manufactures these, including short barreled models. They snap on the bayonet lug, so are easy to install/remove. Somewhat cheaper than buying a permanently installed one.

That's sharp but it's not exasctly what I thought I was looking for the one I was looking for mounts a little different. I belive one was use in the movie "Predator" by the Indian guy that usually walked point. It's for mounting a regular (usually 870) shotgun under a AR it was once offered for FAL's many H&K's, Ak's and maybe though I'm not sure SKS's. Of course all models were neccessarily different. They may just not be offered anymore. I'll have to get me a Smithy Lathe Mill Drilll and make my own. That should only take me about another 25 years.

I haven't looked up a Ciener yet I'll to see it but, if it mounts on the Bayonet lug it's not hte same the one I'm thinking of allowed you to still use the bayonet lug for a bayonet.

The big question here is why?.

Utilizing a 15 lb shoulder arm is past the capabilities of most folks. This setup would also eliminate low prone position, a darn good place to be when suppressive fire is suppressing you.

Another case of the Cool Factor getting the wrong people killed, IMO...

I guess mainly because I don't already have one. I want to have it all I like my shotguns but, feel the need for a rifle more often. As for low prone it doesn't hang any lower than the 30 rnd mag so shouldn't affect that too much. The whole thing shouldn't weight too much more than a M1A full sized, granted it's going to weigh a little more, but having been a pack rat most of my life I've nearly grown into a pack mule. :)

It shouldn't weigh near as much as my personal favorite the M-60 MG and it's impossible for me to afford one of those, so...........

there was a dood on AR15.com that was working on a mount a year or so ago
the shotgun needs to be a SBS to fit
that adds a 200 dollar tax stamp to the deal

J, dry weight of an M-14 is roughly 9 lbs. Dry weight of this combo would be at least 13, plus ammo. The M-14 was phased in part because few folks could handle it in combat for very long.

IMO&E, you wouldn't have this long....

L.L. Baston Corp. or Co. was advertising those mounts in Soldier of Fortune in the late 80s/ early 90s. But I have no knowledge if they are even in business. I think they had mounts for the Remington 870 or the Mossberg 500 shotguns.

Those are MasterKey mounts...the SEALS use 'em sometimes, usually with a Remington 870 -- sometimes sawed-off, sometimes not.

woo woo!

Calling Pat Rogers, Calling Pat Rogers.

I can't remember all the details, but he will. There was a problem with those things cracking receivers. I don't think they're used anymore.

un mounted it would appear to be quite the room broom

i doubt you would shoot it twice from this stance:
