AR newbie needs advice

OK guys, here's the situation, I'm buying an AR A3 upper at a good price. I need to know what brand of lower you all prefer. The upper is an Olmpic arms 16" bull barrel. I'm going to buy another bolt and carrier, and lower receiver. I'd like to get a match trigger if possible. What brand to buy? Or should I just buy a stripped lower and build myself? Are AR lower internals all dropins? Please advise. Thanks.

Well, I'm not an AR expert, but...

Have you tried out an Olympic Arms lower? Their trigger action is really pretty impressive out of the box. I was testing a PCR-5 just the other day and was quite impressed.

Go with a Bushmaster stripped lower and build it yourself. You'll not only have the satisfaction of doing it yourself, but you will also get to really "know" the workings of your AR.

If you do decide to build it yourself, be sure to get the proper tools for assembly. I can list these for you later if you want to know.

kgs.

If you want a parts kit to build the lower (recommend
Oly. Arms for a good inexpensive one), I can recommend
J&T (www.jtsurplus.com). They sell new, parts from the
mil spec contractors. They are one of the highly regarded dealers on ar15.com
