AR lower Modification

I currently have a 11.5" upper I am selling and I am thinking about modifying it to suit the sales market, I know most people dont have SBR lowers, so what do you all think. Should I:

a: Silver Sodder a 5.5" flash hider onto the barrel to make it legal, therefore reaching out to more people that way.

Or

b: Turn one of my regular lowers into a pistol lower and keep it a short barreled upper, and sell it as a AR pistol.

Thanks for all your input, and if you can let me know the pros and cons it would be much appreciated.

(Mod's if this is in the wrong place plese let me know. THANKS!!.)

Chris

I'm fairly certain you can't turn a receiver that has previously been used as a rifle receiver into a pistol receiver. It has to be a "virgin" receiver.

I would sell the upper as is, and call it what it is - like you already are. Your audience would be those with pistol lowers or SBR lowers. If you really want it gone, part it out. There might be a larger market for an upper with no barrel, which is easy to get, than an 11.5" barreled upper.

Thanks for that, I have a stripped lower that is new in the box, if I decide to go the pistol route then ill use that one.
