AR kit purchase

Can any one recommend a online source for a Ar kit , my local shop has oly forged lowers stripped for $129.00 , is that a fair price . Are there any good deals on a kit a gun shows , Thanks
 
I got a stripped lower at a gunshow and ordered a PCR rifle kit from Oly. It had everything else I needed to complete the rifle. I'd say the workmanship is EXCELLENT and the accuracy is pretty good so far, but I only have about 100 rounds through it.

You can order from Oly, Bushmaster or DPMS online. Either of the three are reliable and will give you good components. Best to buy all the parts from one supplier so if you trace any problem down to defective parts, you have only one party to contend with.
 
Ok, ive found a 16" dpms pre ban for $360.00 uppper w/ bolt , it has a threaded barrel with bird cage flash hider, can i replaced the screw on hider with a muzzle brake and be legal, also it has the bayonet lut , can it be ground off or will i have to relace the front sight .
 
If the muzzlebrake is welded/soldered/pinned or otherwise attached so it can't come off, it's legal.

If you mill off the bayonet lug, it's legal.

Or you can get a pre-ban lower...
