AR issue??

I'm not sure if i should put this here or in the gunsmithing section but i have an AR 15 i built. I purchased the upper complete from Del Ton last year. Its a 20 inch flat top with a YHM diamond free float quad rail. since I got it I noticed that the quad rail had a little give in it just a slight cant would occur if i applied pressure. At first I wasn't overly concerned.

But after a couple months of shooting I noticed that not only was my quadrail looser my barrel was loose!! literally i could move it with my hand. so i called Del Ton they said they couldn't do anything about it without me paying for shipping and repairs, so instead I got a friend to retighten the barrel nut for mewhen he got done it was great the rail was tight and so was the barrel. but he mentioned that he had a hard time with it because the barrel nut is a proprietary one from YHM to fit the quadrail. Anyways i thought all was well, a month ago after shooting my AR i noticed once again that my barrel was loose!! Now I ordered my own AR wrench now and it will be here tomorrow. But I'm wondering why does this keep happening? has the barrel nut simply not been tightened enough? Any tips or ideas you guys have?
Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks guys

You have to torque the barrel nut down to the right specs. I don't recall what the setting is, but I'ts somewhere around 30-36 foot pounds. Google it to be sure. The BEST thing to do is to take it to a qualified gunsmith who has the tools and experience you need. It shouldn't cost you much to have the barrel nut tightened.

I think pretty much all free-floating handguards require a proprietary nut made by the handguard manufacturer, so it's not just YHM. I have a YHM hand guard, and it's been properly torqued and has never come loose.

its 30-80 ft/lb

just torque it to 30 and then go to the next available hole to allow the gas tube through. just dont exceed 80 ft/lb
