AR-7 info please

I am gonna buy and AR-7 and wanted to see if anyone has any good sources for any parts or accessories or just plain info on these neat little rifles. I've read the problems some have with them, so no need to lay it on me... I have a 10/22 and don't expect this thing to compete with it. I just want a simple .22 cal rifle I can tinker with.

Thanks!

i doubt it out shoots a Marlin or a Ruger but James Bond didn't take out a helocopter with a 10/22

thanks!

Thanks DZ some of those sites I had not looked at... I located some Choate pieces for one of these so far that I have not seen anywhere but in a book.. I have all sort of pieces coming.. guess I need to go and buy the rifle! he he... Think I will get the standard one so I have the floating stock and barrel if I ever need it.

Of all the manufacturers

Which one would you say makes the best version?

I'd like to pick up a .22LR myself, and the quirky uniqueness of this rifle makes it “cooler” than just an ordinary .22 plinker

It's a neat little system :)

I have owned both the Charter Arms
and AR-7 Industris versions.
Both worked flawlessly with Factory
magazines. Be very careful
to avoid gunshow aftermarket mags
of unknown origin and you should
be fine. Back in the eighties I
understand Charter had some quality
control issues.

Henry US Survival

Is a variant of the AR-7. Makes the most of the detachable barrel via an extra fat, hollow, waterproof stock. The barrel detaches, the receiver detaches, and the whole shebang plus two magazines can be stored in the stock. Great little gun for a boat.
