AR-180

Hi all, my shooting buddy has an AR-180 manufactured by Howa in Japan. We are trying to figure out how old it is. The Se. No. is in the 10X range, so I am assuming it is a fairly early model.

Any info would be appreciated.

I had a Costa Mesa and a Sterling.Didn't know Howa made them.I'll tell you its easy to convert AR-15 mags,cut the little slot,they work fine

Look up when they started production, its probably from the year of.

Howa made the AR180 from '72 to '74,seems like they made around 12,000 of them.
