AR-15

My knowledge of the various manufacturers of the AR-15 style gun is very limited. What I would like to know is if any of these companies made a complete gun chambered for the 45 ACP? If so, who has it and what do you think of the gun?

I've not aware of any AR15 manufacturer producing a gun chambered in .45 ACP. Why would they want to? I never did see the point of having pistol ballistics in a rifle. Of course Colt still makes it in 9 mm.

I think olympic may have made a .45 upper, but you will need the converted magazine to fit into it, usually it is from a uzi magazine. Have no idea how much it would cost, post this over to ar15.com and you get many more responses.

You should be able to find Olympic Arms .45 ACP complete uppers for around $450.00 to $500.00.
Make sure when you buy one (if you do) that the person includes a magazine with the purchase.

Not too long ago I seen one for sale on AR15.com

I know at least one company makes them...I shot a registered M16 with a .45 upper a couple years ago. Very fun!

However, I must agree with jfrancis...unless this is just a range toy, I think that getting a rifle that fires a pistol cartridge is silly.

H&K makes a mag fed "urban-carbine" chambered in 45ACP.
I have seen them at shows and they are awesome. They cost around $1000.00 so of course, I dont have one :(

I'm building a 9mm and a .45ACP with uppers from Olympic, sten and uzi mags (cheap!!), a magblock from Socomm Mfg. Have 2 lowers ready to go.

Going to order uppers and parts kits tomorrow.

Should be cool.
