AR-15 weights...

Used the stock weight when I shot Highpower, never bothered with the front, I just bummed a few strips of stick-on wheel weights from a tire shop.

It seems counter-intuitive, but a heavier rifle is a little easier to shoot standing.

I just added the full weight to the butt, then added wheel weights to balance the rifle.
 
I have both of these (I trimmed a bit off the rear wedge to get the overall balance right) in my High Power Service rifle (an A2 with a 20" Krieger barrel) and the rifle weighs right around 13.5 lbs. I'm thinking (but not 100% sure) the weights just about doubled the weight of the rifle.
 
such a great idea for a target gun, I may just have t go to the basement and make a lead weight for my front, maybe it'll keep it sit still easier when bi-podding it.
