Hey guys new to this site. Just been reading different threads so far. Gotta say I really like it here. Anyways is there any way to leagally own an AR-15 type gun anymore in California? I was reading something about a fixed magazine well so it will only handle 10 rounds. Is that still an option or am I just completely screwed cause I live in this sh!t hole of a state?

Any AR-15 lower that isn't listed on the Kasler list is legal to buy and own. There's a very good probability that DOJ is going to amend the Kasler list to include those lowers, so they would be banned... but ones that were already owned would be "grandfathered in" and a new 90 day registration window will open. Once the lower is registered as an "assault weapon", it can have a pistol grip, collapsible stock, flash hider, etc. and accept the "high capacity" magazines you bought before the ban.

Head over to http://calguns.net/ for more info.
