Ar 15 help

hey guys went to the range and put about 300 rounds through my ar-15 rifle. cleaned it as usual and assembled it like i have down a hundred times before. but now every time i pull the charging handle on my gun i some how make the buffer spring and buffer retain eject from its position. The spring and buffer now star to rattle through out the gun. Every time i start to break down the gun i find the spring inside the hand grip near the trigger and my buffer tube right near it. I cant figure out why all of a sudden the buffer spring and buffer retain are not staying in position.
 
Has to be with the pin that holds in the buffer tube bent, broke off, worn down, could have some gunk causing it to stick or a week spring
thats all I can think of atm
 
If I remember correctly the buffer tube should be screwed in to the lower receiver enough to retain the buffer retainer pin and spring in their recess.
 
appreciate the help....I replaced the buffer spring and buffer retainer 2 different times. Got the spring and the retainer from brownells, still have the same problem. could the hole have expanded?
 
More likely, you either don't have the buffer tube screwed in far enough, or the buffer tube is defective or worn.

The front lip of the buffer tube is what retains the spring and plunger in the hole.
The lower front lip of the buffer tube has to keep the plunger in the hole, and if it's not in far enough or the lower lip is worn or damaged, the plunger can escape.
My next move would be to buy a new buffer tube of the correct size for your rifle if you can't screw it in any farther without overriding the plunger.
 
the lower threds ?

is the lower threads still ok?
Some tubes are larger the mill tubes is your lower to big? Time to whip ot the calipers I think. Made large or worn a bit?
