Dont see the advantage
In the past 25 years I have owned 7 AR’s in different types from long barreled varmints to CR’s and have shot thousands of rounds.
I have been hit in the face with a charging handle (dim wit standing in the next isle blew an AR up) but have never had a problem with breaking a handle or getting hit in the face with oil or powder residue.
Since the handle is only a device to pull back the bolt I don’t see it getting that much stress to cause it to break. The ones that come with a normal AR are pretty strong so I don’t see any advantage and only a disadvantage of adding weight.
I would like to see a photo of the two setting next to each other to see just how much difference there is.
Since they both have to pass through the opening at the rear of the receiver there can’t be that much difference.
I am always for better and stronger, but I don’t see it here
