Any fliers are my screwups.

Since you mentioned "any other barrel", I've got a JP Enterprises Grade 1 24 inch upper assebly and it's a rock solid subMOA performer with just about any load out there on the market and with handloads I often get under MOA for 10 shots.

I just went to the range this weekend where I had 10 different powder/bullet combinations I was trying out and of those 10 loads 5 of them consistently put rounds into around the 1/2 inch area for 5 shots at 100 yards. This was all done with a fairly dirty barrel too, I've taken to only doing a really through copper solvent cleaning about once ever 400-500 rounds. Next time I goto the range I'm gonna shoot all the same loads again to see if I pick up any improvement in accuracy now that I've got a truely clean barrel.

With this gun I've picked off many a squirrel from ranges of 80 yards on out to 400 yards. At the range friday another member from these boards and I were trying to nail the 500 yard squirrels and I was getting SOOOOOO CLOSE! I just didn't have enough experience hitting such a small target when it's range varys +/- 40 yards, I could nail the 500 yard steel plates with decent precision but when the squirrels wouldn't co-operate and stand right next to the steel I was left guessing as to the exact hold I needed to make a hit on the squirrel. On about 7-8 squirrels I got close enough to them to kick dirt in their face or two land the bullet right under them making them jump about a foot in the air, being that they were "edumacated" range squirrels you don't get a second chance to shoot them after you miss the first shot.

AR15s can make great varmint rifles, their virtually recoiless performance makes it so that you can watch the bullets as they impact no matter what the range. If you can use high capacity magazines in your area it's all the better because then you don't need to keep reloading like a bolt action gunner does, only thing I have a problem with is going over to pick up my brass after a long session.
