AR-10 .243 Ammo

I recently built an AR-10 IN .243. I have an opportunity to compete in several AR matches and I'm curious if anyone has a "best" round that runs through an AR? It's currently running a 1-10 twist barrel. So far I see good results with Hornady Superperformance 95 grain sst, but I'm curios about HSM 95 grain VLD.

Be curious to hear what you come up with. I've been toying with buying or building a .243 AR for quite some time.

I'll let you know what they group, nothing left to do but just run a box through each and see. As far as a .243 in an AR-10 goes, it barely kicks more than an ar 15 as long as you have a good muzzle brake.

Quick update for anyone building an AR 10 chambered in .243 w 1-10 twist barrel. Rifle loves Hornady 95 grain SSTs, did well with Winchester Silvertip 95 grn. Absolutely HATED HSM 77 grn VMAX. Moa or better with the latter 2, VMAX 77 grn would not cycle and grouped like a shotgun.
