I've been shooting ever brand of ammo I can get my hands on, trying to find a consistent, value priced brand. I noticed that Aquila ammo from Mexico has been popping up all over, and decided to try a few boxes.
Their 9 mm 115 gr. FMJ is HOT! Almost as hot as Wolf, but no where near as accurate. Magtech, S&B, Fiocchi, and PMC are all superior, and usually lower priced.
Their .40 S&W 165 gr. FMJ is loaded similar to Magtech, PMC, etc., and accuracy is acceptable, BUT every other round FAILS TO FEED in my Walther P-99. I've tried close to a dozen different brands of ammo in the Walther, and this is the only one that refuses to feed. Even the junk American ammo from Miami, feeds every time.
I have some .45 ACP that I will be trying in the next few days. Unless the .45 proves to be exceptional, this brand goes on my "never buy" list. Anyone else have any experience or comments on this ammo?
Thanks,
David
