today I went to the range with my wife & lil one to do a little shooting & since the local Gander Mountain was out of Pyrodex P "& ofcorse not a single can of the real stuff" I figured I'd give this American Pioneer Powder a try.
As soon as I can I am going to aquire some Pyrodex P or better yet some real Black & just use this stuff for 4th of July & New Years slutes or something but it will never go back into my 1851 .44 Navy again!
The velocity & report was not the same as I was used to, my piece is normally dead on at 58 yards with a normal 28gr. charge "Pyrodex P or real Black" & .457 ball but this time she was hitting near point of aim at 25 yards, so when I use my normal aiming point I got a real supprise when I shot low every squeeze of the trigger!
I had 6 rounds in some speed loaders with some black, & the difference was astounding to say the least, even Moma said it sounded & felt different when she shot it & she doesn't even shoot my baby much!
