Apex Trigger for M & P Shield

I have a 9mm Shield that serves as my ccw. Trigger is o.k., but I am always seeking improvement. Will the installation of an Apex Triigger Package improve the pistol enough to justify the investment? Will it cause any potential headaches that I don't see at the moment?

I've done a few for customers and they love it. Thinking of doing it to mine but since I got a G43 I don't carry the shield much.

That kind of depends on your idea of 'improve'. Will you shoot tighter groups? I very, very seriously doubt it. Will you even notice the difference when shooting the action games such as IDPA? I seriously doubt it. Will it make the gun come out of the holster faster or get on target faster? Uh, not likely.

Will it make you feel like something good has happened? Probably.

I have several Apex parts in my two M&P pistols and have been very happy with them. To ask if it's worth the investment though is a bit misplaced--it's not an investment, it's a toy. An investment promises to earn a return, and incurs a risk. Think 'squandered on toys'...not 'invested'.

I put the complete Apex Tactical trigger kit in my Shield. It is a definite improvement over the stock trigger. The Apex trigger kit eliminates the rough take up that I had on my gun, and also gives you a very nice clean break.

Its not the easiest trigger kit to install, since it requires the removal of the rear sight to do the complete kit, but I think most guys could do it themselves if you have the right tools. A sight drifter is a big help if you have one.
