I installed an APEX spring and firing pin combo in my old trusty Smith and Wesson 637 last week. It wasn't difficult even though it was only the second time I've done surgery on a S&W.
I got the parts for ~$25 through Dillon Precision.
Today I took it to the range and put a box + some loose rounds through it. The trigger was always smooth but now it is lighter ( not 'light' just 'lightER') but still very consistent. No failures of any kind with some 158 grain Freedom Munitions flat point and odd 125 grain jhps. It was easier to be accurate with the new kit installed and more pleasant to shoot.
Anyone else have experience with the APEX mod?
